Ink

By Loren Feder

Ink.
Enclosed in its plastic body,
sinks down to imbed paper,
Illustrating the minds of one,
or speaking for those who are not equipped with it.
Opportunity. Dignity. Equality. Humanity.
Can we achieve such with just ink?

She feels this.
Ink, the symbol for her that one person can influence the world.
Can it thwart the supposed strongest forces on our planet?
Terrorism? Poverty? Illiteracy?
She knows this.
Ink is stronger. We are stronger with it.
We can achieve this, if we are all given ink.
