Aut viam ineviam aut faciam

By Alec Mitchell

Aut viam ineviam aut faciam

I will either find a way, or make one

Waves, violently crash against the island’s rocky shell

As our lone wanderer swiftly rushes through this watery hell

Lighting burns through the night sky like a forest fire

The man prays that this wont become his funeral pyre

Rain chaotically falls from stormy night sky

As our lone wander struggles to get by

As he ventures into the island, he views a foreboding mountain wall

His hands shaking his eyes trembling, he thought he had seen it all

With one careful step, he beings to scale

As he determines himself not to fail

One mistake, and it would end in death

The world feeling his cold last breath

Our lone wanderer reaches the top, and falls on the floor

Yet he knows beyond the valley, there is certainly more

In the distance there is nothing more than a castle

Blocks neatly stacked, flags torn, to the eye it was facile

The man begins to walk, pushing himself to get to that fortress

To conquer the treacherous valley, and stand strong like Taurus

He moves into the heart of the great tempest

As he quietly utters the phrase, “factum est”
